About Voltspan
Voltspan helps companies keep their data in their own hands and turn it into models of their own. We build from the power up: our own GPU clusters in US data centers, the sandboxes and inference agents run on, and the training behind them. We are growing across every layer of the stack.
About the role
Agents need a safe place to act. You will build the sandboxes they run in: isolated environments for code, shells and browsers that start in milliseconds and run by the thousands next to our GPUs.
What you'll do
- Design and build microVM-based sandboxes for agent workloads
- Make start-up, snapshot and fork fast enough for interactive agents and large training runs
- Build network and resource controls for every sandbox
- Run the sandbox fleet in production across our data centers
What we're looking for
- Deep experience with Linux internals and virtualization (KVM, Firecracker, Cloud Hypervisor or similar)
- Strong Rust, Go or C
- You have shipped systems where isolation and security mattered
Nice to have
- Experience with rust-vmm
- Container runtimes, cgroups or eBPF
Projects you might work on
- Sandbox start-up under 150 ms with full network isolation
- Running 10,000 sandboxes side by side for one RL run

If a role excites you but you don't meet every qualification, apply anyway. We care more about what you have built than about a checklist.
Salary range, visa sponsorship and benefits will be added before this posting goes live.
How we work
- Small teams, big systems. Everyone here owns real infrastructure and real customers from week one.
- From volts to agents. Work moves across the whole stack, so you will see how your piece connects to power, GPUs, tokens and agents.
- We run what we build. The people who write the software also operate it, next to the people who rack the hardware.
