About Voltspan
Voltspan helps companies keep their data in their own hands and turn it into models of their own. We build from the power up: our own GPU clusters in US data centers, the sandboxes and inference agents run on, and the training behind them. We are growing across every layer of the stack.
About the role
A customer switches models only when the numbers say so. You will build the evals that decide when a trained model is ready to take traffic from the model a customer uses today.
What you'll do
- Build eval suites from real agent traces and customer tasks
- Compare frontier, open and trained models side by side
- Build tooling to run evals continuously during training and in production
- Report results customers can trust and act on
What we're looking for
- Experience building ML evaluations or benchmarks
- Strong Python and data analysis
- Care about statistics and about what a number really means
Nice to have
- LLM-as-judge methods and their failure modes
- Shadow traffic or A/B testing in production
Projects you might work on
- An eval report a customer uses to move 80% of traffic to their own model
- Live dashboards that track model quality during an RL run

If a role excites you but you don't meet every qualification, apply anyway. We care more about what you have built than about a checklist.
Salary range, visa sponsorship and benefits will be added before this posting goes live.
How we work
- Small teams, big systems. Everyone here owns real infrastructure and real customers from week one.
- From volts to agents. Work moves across the whole stack, so you will see how your piece connects to power, GPUs, tokens and agents.
- We run what we build. The people who write the software also operate it, next to the people who rack the hardware.
